NorthWords Writing Camp

After the long weekend I will be flying to Terrace, B.C. to conduct a creative writers' camp at the Public Library. I look forward to working with children who want to write and illustrate their own stories. Hopefully it won't be as hot as it is now!

I'm in beautiful Terrace now and working with about 25 young writers. Their stories are a wide variety of humor, fantasy and everything in between. They can use books and computers for research. On Friday they will 'publish' their writing as illustrated books. Isn't it GREAT to see a program like this in a Public Library!! We need to make sure that our public libraries will always offer courses and resources that encourage people to read and write. Don't cut funding to public libraries!
